The Manassas Viking Festival is a fun filled educational event geared for the entire family covering entertainment from the Harris Pavilion down to the Manassas museum lawn. Go back in time and walk through a Viking encampment set up by the Society of Amaterue Vikings for Gerneral Reenactment (SAVGr), Njorðr's Vanderers and Odins Warrior Tripe. See the Gyrfaalcon Viking boat brought to us by the Longship company. Get your photo by the 40ft Norsman Vikingship brought by the Leif Erikson company in Philadelphia. The Society of Amateur Vikings for General Reenactment (SAVGR) will have a morning and afternoon program for the kids (kids, bring your toy swords and shields). Visit with Falcons, Hawks, Owls and ravens brought to us by Avian Encounters and Dragon Wings Falconry. Meet and learn about the Nordic breed dog. Watch Fencing demos by Manassas Fencing, Self defense by American Drengr Krav Maga and Archery skills by the Archery Academy.
At the Harris Pavilion: Live music by the amazing Kinnfolk, Celtic Machinations and Michelle Mountain and performances by the Nordic Dancers of Washington D.C and Phoenix Irish Dance Academy. There will be lots of Viking and Norse themed vendors throughout the area from the Harris Pavilion, West Street and Museum Lawn. It is going to be a fantastic day for the entire family.
