Established in 1987, the Historic Manassas Farmers Market is a not-for-profit market operated by Historic Manassas, Inc., a 501(c) (3) charitable, nonprofit organization. What started with just four vendors has evolved into one of the largest and most popular farmers market in Virginia, featuring two bustling locations in the heart of Downtown Manassas, Virginia!
The Market's mission is clear: to provide residents access to fresh, locally grown products while creating opportunities for local farms, nurseries, bakeries, specialty food producers, artists and artisans, and other entrepreneurs. The Historic Manassas Farmers Market proudly serves as a small business incubator for many vendors and a space for vibrant community gatherings.
The Market has been recognized for its commitment to creating a diverse and thriving market with high-quality local goods and services. It was voted Virginia's Best Market in 2020 and "Best in Northern Virginia" by Virginia Living Magazine in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, it was recognized as the Best Agrotourism Attraction and Best Farmers Market in Prince William County by InsideNova in 2023.
