This December 1, Historic Downtown Manassas begins its beloved and long-awaited Merry Old Town, a wonderful multi-day event that includes the lighting of the city's Christmas tree by Santa, the Christmas Parade, Carriage Rides and, of course, the Holiday Market.
Friday, December 1, Santa will arrive by train at the station at 5:15 p.m. He will walk to the newly renovated Manassas Museum where he will light the tree and invite children to share their wish lists.
On Saturday, December 2, at 10:00 a.m., one of the most anticipated and colorful Christmas events in Northern Virginia takes place, the 77th Greater Manassas Christmas Parade. Christmas floats, marching bands, dancers, and much more will wind their way through Historic Manassas.
Historic Manassas, Inc. will host the Holiday Market on Saturday, December 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Historic Manassas Train Depot Parking Lot.
